Below is only what we have heard, or read. Government (we assume) does what it thinks best for the public; we hope they've considered the needs of small boat sailors.
This year, in the existing launch area, they will be updating docks, and adding a soft launch area (for kayaks only?) We do not know what, nor when, they will commence nor complete their plan/s, nor what dates we may be without any docks? Hearsay has it May 15th is goal for docks.
Stony Creek has demolished the old, boat storage area and is in process of repurposing "prime, lake-front" area. HEARSAY: the current building in the launch area (with vending machines and bathrooms) will be changed/demolished/replaced? Parking will be increased? A restaurant will be built? (Where, what, when, we do not know.)
Rental boat storage was moved across the road last year; rates are $600 for the 2017 summer season.
